Licensing & Activation
License modes
WinWraper operates in one of three modes:

| Active | Valid license currently activated | Unlimited services, full feature access |
| Blocked | Key expired or revoked | Watcher and Metrics in read-only mode only |
Activating a license
Activation steps
- Open ⚙ Configure on the Service List toolbar → ℹ License / About (or right-click the tray icon → ℹ License / About).
- Click Activate.
- Enter the email address you used when purchasing.
- Enter your license key (format:
XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX). - Click Activate, WinWraper validates with the server.
- On success, the dialog shows your plan details and expiry date.
ℹ️Note
Activation requires an internet connection. Once activated successfully, WinWraper can be used offline for up to 7 days (standard grace period). The absolute maximum is 30 days offline.
License expiry
When a license expires, WinWraper shows a notification with two options:
- Renew: Purchase more time at boringtecvn.com.
- Enter a new key: If you have already bought a new key, enter it here.
In the Blocked state, WinWraper only allows you to view Watcher and Metrics (you cannot start or stop services).
Using WinWraper offline
WinWraper has a grace period for offline use:
- 7 days standard when there is no internet connection.
- 30 days absolute maximum, cannot be extended under any circumstances.
⚠️Warning
Any attempt to go beyond the allowed offline period is not supported and may result in Blocked mode.
Transferring a license to a new machine
To use your license on a new machine:
- On the old machine: open ℹ License / About (via ⚙ Configure or tray right-click) → Deactivate.
- On the new machine: activate normally with the same email and key.
ℹ️Note
A license is activated on one machine at a time. If the old machine is broken and you cannot deactivate it, contact support at ptdung91dev@hotmail.com.
