Automatic update check

Every time it starts, WinWraper automatically checks whether a new version is available. This happens in the background and does not slow down the application.

If an update is available, WinWraper shows a notification in the About window with a Download button.

Downloading and installing a new version

WinWraper notifies you of a new version in the About window.
Click the Download button, WinWraper downloads the installer to your Downloads folder.
Once the download is complete, run the installer.
The installer upgrades WinWraper, your service data and configuration are preserved.

💡Tip

You don't need to uninstall the old version before installing the new one, the installer handles the upgrade automatically.

Manual check

Open ⚙ Configure on the Service List toolbar → ℹ License / About (or right-click the tray icon → same item) and click Check for Updates to check immediately instead of waiting for the next launch.

Current version

View the installed version in the About window. Version numbers follow the x.x.x format (for example: 1.0.6).

ℹ️Note

Checking for updates requires an internet connection. If your machine is frequently offline, manually check the release page at boringtecvn.com periodically to get the latest version.
