Settings & Configuration
Opening Settings
In the Service List window, click the ⚙ Configure button on the toolbar. This opens the Configure Instances dialog, WinWraper's only settings window.
Language setting
WinWraper supports English and Vietnamese.
Open ⚙ Configure on the toolbar and pick your language from the Language dropdown.
The language change applies immediately, no restart required.
Startup options
| Option (label in the dialog) | Description |
|---|---|
| Auto-start all services on open | Start every enabled service automatically when WinWraper opens |
| Start with Windows | WinWraper launches automatically when you sign in to Windows |
| Language | English or Vietnamese |
💡Tip
Enable both options to ensure all your services start automatically after the machine boots.
Per-service configuration
Open the Configure Instances window (click the ⚙️ icon in the toolbar):
This dialog is intentionally minimal, it only exposes:
- The global options at the top: Auto-start services on open, Start with Windows, Language.
- A list of services grouped by folder, each row with an Enabled checkbox, untick it to temporarily hide a service from management without removing it.
ℹ️Info
Other settings are not here: Auto-Restart and Windows Service are toggled directly on the service row in Service List (or via the right-click menu). Working directory, interpreter and script arguments are set when you add the service through the Add Service dialog.
MCP HTTP/SSE mode
WinWraper does not have a dedicated Settings page for MCP. By default the MCP server runs in stdio mode (each local client spawns its own process).
The HTTP/SSE mode is enabled automatically when you install the OpenClaw Gateway through ⚡ Quick Add. There is currently no UI to toggle it manually, see MCP / AI Agent Integration for details.
Advanced configuration (appsettings.json)
The file appsettings.json in the WinWraper installation directory contains more advanced options.
⚠️Warning
Editing appsettings.json is intended for advanced users. Make a backup copy before making changes. An incorrect setting can prevent WinWraper from starting, in that case, delete the file and WinWraper will recreate it with defaults.
